The "Live-Anywhere" Boat - Visit by the Chebeague Island School

In October the Chebeague School, both of its classrooms, visited Barbara, the older grades as part of a unit on island living, where there was a lot of concern as to ways people lived and made a living on the island, what the advantages and disadvantages are. They interviewed us rather solemnly and seemed very interested in the boat, especially in the complexities of the engine room and that fact that it included a washer/dryer. For the younger class (K-2) the visit was more of a field trip, but they too were fascinated by the boat and its complexity.
